Customized solutions for municipal transport needs and more

Customers provide AL-KO with the original VW transporter chassis, which AL-KO converts into a cab and refines with the AL-KO chassis. This means that the tried-and-tested AL-KO chassis solution is once again available for VW vans and their fans. At NUFAM, AL-KO is presenting a corresponding solution with a body from Schoon Fahrzeugsysteme GmbH.

The chassis are equipped with ESP/ESC (Electronic Stability Program) as standard. The variable wheelbases ensure a wide variety of body lengths and, in combination with the overhang variants offered, enable a tailor-made solution for almost all transport problems with optimal load distribution and driving stability. The chassis concept developed by the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group was approved with a clearance certificate by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

The maintenance-free rear axle with wider axle track including torsion bar suspension optimises the driving response and ensures safety and comfort. For easy and comfortable vehicle loading and unloading, a tail lift can be attached in conjunction with a support frame. The hot-dip galvanizing of the frame connection and chassis components ensures reliable corrosion protection and thus the customary long service life.

You can also see a Fiat Ducato with a Branchenbus platform body from at NUFAM. The vehicle is equipped with an AL-KO low-floor chassis. The innovative grid ramp enables easy handling thanks to spring support and is ready for use in five seconds. The advantages of the robust aluminium structure lie in the low platform height and the quick and safe loading and unloading via the folding rear ramp. The ramp is air-permeable and particularly non-slip due to its grid profiles. The side loading height is only 55 cm and is therefore 35 cm lower than factory flatbeds. The loading edge height at the rear is only 45 cm. The flat ramp angle means that even machines with low ground clearance can be loaded.

In addition, the vehicle's low centre of gravity provides optimum driving stability, making it ideal for use in winter. The robust aluminium floor with numerous lashing eyes ensures the load is even more secure. Tool cabinets, LED flash modules and many other options can be selected as accessories. This makes the vehicle the perfect choice for municipalities, gardening and landscaping, building service providers and machinery dealers.
