Easy and precise movement of the trailer per joystick

The MAMMUT CTRAIL system will be available as a single axle trailer version with a permitted gross weight of up to 2.5 tonnes. Even the heavyweights among the light trailers are easy to move in the smallest of spaces by a single person with the joystick on the remote control.

The AL-KO MAMMUT CTRAIL manoeuvring system can be used to position the uncoupled trailer very precisely and with great sensitivity at the job site. The one-handed remote control is purely intuitive, so that the attention can be focused entirely on the trailer. Soft start and stop function (when the joystick is released, the trailer is immediately braked) ensure smooth starting and braking. Accurate to the centimetre, over rough and smooth or on a steep slope – effortless, without the use of force and without outside help. Thanks to individual adaptation, almost every single axle trailer up to 2.5 tonnes can be equipped with the robust and durable premium manoeuvring system. This makes the manoeuvring drive ideal for use in high-quality special trailers, such as sales trailers. 

The electronic controls are perfectly integrated in the robust aluminium drives, which protects them against damage and moisture (IP65). The powerful drive overcomes obstacles up to four centimetres in height and gradients of up to 28 percent. Optimum contact pressure is guaranteed by electrically controlled adjustment of the rollers. It is even possible to turn the trailer on the spot (360‑degree rotation). The remote control with integrated "control panel" provides information on the respective system status – display of the roller position, overload, tension and temperature. A safety system with release via a magnetic switch on the overrun device ensures that the drive is not unintentionally activated.

Depending on the model, the AL-KO MAMMUT CTRAIL manoeuvring drive weighs between 32 and 84 kilograms. Gel or AGM batteries with coordinated charging technology and a capacity of at least 80 Ah are recommended for operation. Since the manoeuvring system has an ABE, it does not have to be registered by the TÜV.
