A maneuvering drive increases comfort but adds weight to the caravan. Therefore, the MAMMUT GALAXY relies on a lightweight design. The single-axle variants with U-connection each weigh 25 kg. This creates more reserve for luggage, bicycles, or camping equipment. Performance and ease of use remain fully intact.

With more than 1.0 km/h, the MAMMUT GALAXY is among the fastest maneuvering drives in its class. Longer distances on the campsite or in front of the garage can be covered quickly. Three speed levels give you the right control for every situation. When parking, you steer slowly and precisely. In open areas, you move the caravan faster.
Joystick Remote Control for Precise Control
The MAMMUT GALAXY remote control focuses on simple and direct operation. The joystick translates your movements continuously into direction and speed. With separate buttons, you can engage or disengage the drive rollers and adjust the speed. An LCD color display and lighting function support operation in daylight and darkness.
Maximum Ground Clearance and Automatic Positioning
The patented design provides maximum ground clearance and reduces the risk of ground contact. This protects the maneuvering drive on uneven surfaces, ramps, and curbs. With the push of a button, the drive rollers automatically adjust to the tires. The system generates the appropriate contact pressure for safe power transmission.
Up to 4 cm Obstacle Height and 35% Incline
The MAMMUT GALAXY overcomes obstacles up to 4 cm and inclines up to 35%. This supports you even on challenging driveways and parking spaces. The actual achievable driving performance depends on the caravan, its load, the ground, and the operating conditions.
Flexible Power Supply with 18V or 12V
You can operate the MAMMUT GALAXY with modern 18V tool batteries or a classic 12V on-board battery. This allows you to adapt the power supply to weight, vehicle, and travel habits. The 18V batteries belong to the cross-brand Cordless Alliance System, or CAS. They can be easily swapped and charged outside the caravan.
Position Control Unit Flexibly in the Caravan
The control unit is not tied to a fixed installation location. The specialist can position it according to the space conditions in the caravan. An integrated service interface supports diagnostics and software updates. This allows the service to check the system status and perform updates.
Efficient Power Transmission with Planetary Gear
A planetary gear transmits the drive power compactly and efficiently. The design combines power with low weight and contributes to the slim design of the maneuvering drive.

18V CAS tool batteries
- The interchangeable battery solution keeps the system particularly light. It is suitable for anyone who wants to charge batteries outside the caravan and use them flexibly.
PowerXtreme lithium-ion battery
- PowerXtreme offers a lightweight, permanently installed 12V power supply. Three sizes cover caravans up to 1,500 kg, 1,800 kg, or 3,500 kg.
Optima BlueTop battery
- The Optima BlueTop 75 Ah supplies variants up to 3,500 kg. For this 12V solution, the appropriate charger and the 12V wiring harness are required.

Select the maneuvering drive according to the number of axles, permissible total weight, and chassis connection. The power supply comes as a separate, coordinated package.

The Cordless Alliance System, or CAS for short, is a cross-manufacturer battery system for a wide range of devices and applications. As part of this partnership, AL-KO Vehicle Technology uses a shared 18 V battery technology. Compatible CAS batteries can therefore be used flexibly in different products from participating manufacturers.
